 Taraxacum is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. Other names are chicory mountain, agrioradiko, dandelion, wild birds or pikrafaka. It is native to Eurasia and North and South America, while both types of T. And T. officinale. Erythrospermum, are found as weeds worldwide. Both species are edible in their entirety. The species of Taraxacum are a main roots biennial or perennial herbaceous plants, native to temperate regions of the Old and New World. The leaves are 5-25 cm. Or longer, simple and basic, whole or lobed, forming a rosette above the central taproot. The heads of the flowers are yellow to orange, and are "off" during the day but "closed" in the evening. The inflorescence is 2-5 cm. In diameter and consist entirely of radially florets.
